Summary Job Description
The Accounting Coordinator reports to the Controller and partners with the Controller and other accounting team members in the accurate & timely production of periodic financial reports and supporting schedules.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create monthly financial packages in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Record revenue and expenses and reconcile to sub-ledgers on a monthly basis.
- Create and issue semi-monthly invoices and follow-up on collection.
- Process weekly ACH and credit card charges to clients.
- Process provider check requests and accounts payable on a daily basis for the records line of business and on a weekly basis for the court reporting line of business.
- Assist in the processing of expense reports on a monthly basis.
- Develop power point summaries for quarterly board of managers’ meetings.
- Assist in the analysis of data for monthly reporting and annual budget processes.
- Assist in annual audit process to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
- Special projects as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- 3-4 years relevant experience required.
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Access, Excel, Word & Outlook applications. Experienced in the use of pivot tables, databases & macros.
- Ability to periodically work over 40 hours per week to support special projects and departmental needs.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents and projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment to build rapport with all employees, subcontractors and clients.
- Exceptional attendance record.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business.
