Summary Job Description

The Video & Trial Services Representative role requires a strong background in customer service and
professional relationship building. The role of the Video & Trial Services Representative is to process,
edit and encode video footage received from internal and external videographers. They are also
responsible for delivering the requested, finished products to clients and court reporters.
Representatives may be expected to provide support for videographers in the field if necessary. They
will also learn to capture and record videos of legal proceedings. This includes setting up and breaking
down video equipment and providing exceptional customer service to clients at depositions. This
position will require some after-hours work answering client and court reporter calls, as well as possibly
recording videotaped depositions.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Respond to telephone calls, e-mails, and personnel requests for video services
Monitor, coordinate and record Zoom depositions
Handle clients, personnel, and reporters in a professional manner
Receive, document, process, edit and encode video footage into required
formats
Ensure video backups are completed, documented and properly stored off-site
Process, configure, monitor and track Desktop Video Conferencing (DesktopVC)
depositions
Ensure DesktopVC kits are shipped to the correct location, arrive when required
and returned when the DesktopVC has been completed
Train and support clients, employees, and reporters on DesktopVC
Set up and breakdown of technical equipment to include projectors, projection
screens and other equipment as needed
Remain prepared to process additional duties and projects as required for the
department
Prepare technical instructions and/or presentations as requested
Shoot deposition videos to meet PohlmanUSA standards
Set up and break down video equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues
that may arise at a deposition

Learn to utilize video editing software and prepare video clips for courtroom
playback
Possible courtroom playback of videos/PowerPoint presentations may be
required as requested by clients
Answer after-hours emergency calls for client or court reporter requests on at
least a bi-weekly basis

 Qualification Requirements

Minimum of 1-2 years of direct customer service experience required
1-2 years of experience with video editing software preferred
Experience setting up and working with video/recording equipment preferred
A strong technology skill set plus a willingness to learn new technological skills required
Must have a customer service-oriented, team-spirited, positive personality
Must be able to work in a professional and confidential environment
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative
environment is essential
Must maintain flexibility in weekly work hours. Some extended weekday hours
should be expected. Weekend availability is required, and weekend tasks and
assignments are possible. Must be open to travel as needed.
Maintain a can-do attitude while demonstrating internal and external customer
service skills

1-2 years of video production experience

Education

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or similar field required
  • National Court Reporting Association CLVS certification a plus
