Summary Job Description

Produce videos and grow with the developing field of video conferencing. The role of the Videographer and Video Conferencing Technician is to shoot, edit, and encode video footage.  They are also responsible for producing the requested files to our clients and provide support for videographers in the field if necessary.  They will also learn to monitor and record videos from several video conferencing platforms (example Zoom). The Videographer and Video Conferencing Technician will work with Adobe Premiere to edit videos and will learn specialized video software for the legal field to synchronize videos to written transcripts and edit them for trial. When onsite, they will use a kit which included a camera, microphones, and an audio mixer, and will sometimes use video mixers to create picture-in-picture videos. The Videographer and Video Conferencing Technician role requires a strong background in customer service and professional relationship building.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Shoot depositions on site using a portable studio kit
  • Process, configure, monitor and track Desktop Video Conferencing (DesktopVC) platforms, including Zoom, WebEx, Adobe Connect, and Microsoft Teams, and train clients to use them
  • Process the videos into our database to ensure the videos have been properly documented
  • Edit and encode videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, TMPGEnc, and other industry software to produce videos to clients
  • Ensure video backups are completed and stored offsite
  • Respond to telephone calls, e-mails, and personnel requests for video services
  • Handle clients and personnel in a professional manner
  • Ensure DesktopVC kits are shipped to the correct location, arrive when required and returned when the DesktopVC has been completed
  • Remain prepared to process additional duties and projects as required for the department
  • Prepare technical instructions and/or presentations as requested
  • Set up projector and speakers to present videos to jurors in a courtroom setting

 Qualification Requirements

  • 1-2 years of video production experience
  • 1-2 years of experience with video editing software
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of direct customer service experience required
  • Basic familiarity with PC’s, networking, and video conferencing
  • Must have a customer service-oriented, team-spirited, positive personality
  • Must be able to work in a professional and confidential environment
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Maintain a can-do attitude while demonstrating internal and external customer service skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Good attendance track record

Education

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in Film Production, Mass Comm, Information Technology, or similar field preferred required.
  • National Court Reporting Association CLVS certification a plus
